ZINWIJKEN is a unique project that brings together conviction-based initiatives and formal social work. Research shows that conviction-based communities provide an important safety net for people with precarious residency status, yet they are often overlooked in the formal integration process.

With ZINWIJKEN, we aim to raise the profile of these spaces whilst creating opportunities for newcomers to get involved. How? Through interactive neighbourhood explorations in which we set out with a group of newcomers from a convictional or religious initiative and, from there, discover other initiatives and social organisations in the neighbourhood.
